Shereese Alexander is a Business Networking Coach who helps entrepreneurs create profitable partnerships through authentic connection. Shereese went from being a PhD candidate at an Ivy League school to being homeless in New York City at the height of the 2008 recession.

That experience taught her that, while achievements and degrees are something to be proud of, human connection is the most valuable asset a person could have. Now she teaches entrepreneurs the power of making a micro-impact, one person at a time, in order to grow their network and their business.

Shereese helps people build relationships at live and virtual events.

Some people go to events to find 10 clients but finding 10 Joint Venture (JV) partners is much better.

Shereese recommends that you attend an event with an intention - and a strategy!

If you're going strictly for the content, you are missing out on opportunities to meet potential JV partners, mentors, clients, and what Shereese calls X Factors - those people that you probably won't work with but who become friends.

There are people at live events who are usually unreachable. They are people you admire or respect. To connect with them in a genuine way,  thank them for the impact they’ve had on your life. Be specific.

If you’re trying to attract the influencer, the person who is hosting the event, don't try to connect  during the live calls or at the live event.

Instead, show your support by:

- Actively contribute in the related Facebook group. Add quotes & tag the person who said something meaningful during the event.

- Be an assistant ….they’ll remember that you contributed.

Be intentional about where you participate. Spend your time and energy in the communities you want to support.

Don’t spread yourself thin.

And most of all, be authentic.
