There are at least 40 emotions that can cause us to get derailed as we go through our day. Many of these emotions are triggered by communication, including emails, app notifications, and text messages.
These triggers invite us to pay attention to what's below the surface. If we feel anger, what is beneath the anger? Is it indignation or injustice, or disrespect?
It's good for us to begin to notice what's bothering us or triggering us. Once we notice something, we can choose what we want to do (or not do) to resolve the feelings and remove the trigger.
